B+S found their way to hiring Ness McGovern Events and Design through our previous connection to Chancey Charm Weddings, which also previously had an office out of Cape Cod. On our first call, we were immediately taken with how personable, warm and friendly they were. We also loved how excited they were to have a Cape Cod Wedding.
They had also picked a unique location for their beach nuptials, a harbor-side seafood dive in Dennis, MA called the Sesuit Harbor Cafe. A complete gem of a location. It can be dressed up to suit any wedding style with its tented space in the parking lot (right on the beach!)
The day before their wedding, there was a pretty wicked wind-heavy storm coming through the cape. It was raining and if it wasn’t raining the wind was whipping everything up. It made for some pretty scenic beach waves but wasn’t boding for the best pictures. However, maybe it was the luck of the Irish, the wind settled and the sun warmed up the sand just in time for this Cape Cod wedding.
B had an amazing vision for the space and herself contributed all of the design aspects as well as DIY’ed several of the components. The result was truly gorgeous. From the bridesmaids persimmon colored dresses to the floral designs latte, cream and rose palette, this wedding design was truly a beautiful affair.
The night went perfectly, thanks to some stellar vendors: Cape Tunes, Bayside Tent, Kadeema Rentals, Cape Destinations, Market Floral Studio and Jenny Moloney Weddings Photography. The ceremony took place on Corporation Beach where guests could remove their shoes for a walk in the sand. The couples golden retrievers walked down the aisle. B made her grand appearance from the tall staircase overlooking the beach. Guests were then bused over to the cafe for cocktail hour on the beach which included beautiful lounge rentals and a boat filled with ice and drinks with the couples name on it. A tented reception followed, complete with hanging baskets and greenery. Guests dined on Chowder and Seafood before being treated to a donut wall. The night ended with an after party at Sesuit Harbor House with a live Irish band.
We’re so happy to have been a part of such a beautiful day. Check out the gallery below, as well as the gallery on our website. We’re also pleased to feature a review from B below!
