As seen pn Societe Prive, The Palace (aka the Lotte Palace New York) is a luxury hotel that has roots dating back to 1882 when a prominent financier, Henry Villard, commissioned a large private brownstone on Madison Avenue in the neo-italian renaissance style. The original receiving rooms, library, grand staircase and ballroom of the mansion still exist as part of the hotel’s event spaces. We had the pleasure of designing this event to highlight the old-world beauty of those rooms. We also chose to highlight some key New York City Wedding details like St. Patrick’s Cathedral, yellow taxis etc.
The tabletop design is particularly visually interesting. The linen is purposely ruched to create texture as a base layer for beautifully vintage inspired dinnerware, a glass etched charger, ornate gold silverware, and ribbed glassware.
